  • Overview

    SBM Management is searching for a Project Manager!  This position plans, directs, and coordinates activities to successfully implement corporate initiatives.  This person is to ensure that goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.  This position will interface with internal stakeholders, customers, and operations functional teams to ensure that they are satisfied with the outcomes of each implementation.  Provide clear and regular communication to key stakeholders regarding project progress, budget, and changes to scope.


    • Utilize project management methodologies, systems and tools to effectively direct all project phases – Define/Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor and Close
    • Participate in the development of the Project Proposal to provide support, guidance and advice to the key stakeholders of the project.
    • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement activities making use of communication resources and reporting/tracking systems
    • Provides weekly updates to stakeholders and SBM Leadership team
    • Proactively identify implementation opportunities and select the most appropriate avenue for resolution
    • Gain buy-in of all stakeholders through strong communication to enable business change and realization of benefits
    • Education of relevant staff on the required deployment activities and processes to ensure successful deployments to sites, supporting the cascade of knowledge and skills
    • Maintains an awareness of project goals and objectives and navigates solutions towards desired ends, while maintaining relationships and supporting consensus
    • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
    • Creates/documents processes in effort to standardize
    • Confers with project staff to outline scope of work
    • Some travel may be required

    Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    

    • Position may manage 1-2 staff.   Employee will be expected to carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.


    • Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Project Management certification and MBA a plus.
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software.
    • Must be self-driven and able to work with little or no supervision.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Available Shift:  Full Time
