  • Overview

    SBM Management is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join their team!  This position is responsible for forecasting and directing operational budget performance for assigned division(s). Actively interfaces with operations teams to identify ways to maximize profitability and maintain sustainable metrics for operational and customer service excellence. Provide clear communication to the Director of Finance on established financial indicators. Will frequently be required to lead project teams within the Finance function as well as support training needs of others. Participates in financial due diligence for new business opportunities (RFP review, bid modeling, contract administration). Primary sponsor of the cost reporting system that provides profitability analysis by work locations and programs. Maintains a variety of resources to accurately support cost accounting, forecasting and financial due diligence.


    • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of internal financial policies and supports adherence to established procedures.
    • Provide recommendations on expenditure requirements to better align the organization on major corporate financial strategies, objectives and policies.
    • Directly support Operations in preparation of existing budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification for both internal and external use.
    • Provide operations with consistent visibility to current financial performance through weekly communications and reporting.
    • Escalate critical financial issues through appropriate operation’s channels to ensure monthly/quarterly performance goals are achieved.
    • Work directly with Division and Region operations management team to develop monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets to achieve corporate objectives and desired profit expectations.
    • Provide timely reviews of the assigned division’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities as they relate to operations performance.
    • Coordinate and report quarterly operations incentive programs and work with corporate departments to improve guidelines, controls and rewards.
    • Lead efforts with corporate partners to asses and identify risk exposure due to labor agreements, local/state/federal payroll taxes, salary structures, and service contract T&C’s, workers’ compensation charges and general liability claims.
    • Supports Business Development team in pricing activities to for new and existing customers to align and protect the overall financial integrity of the organization.
    • Identify key cost drivers in various lines of business to continuously improve pricing structure and increase the organizations competitive advantage.
    • Collect/analyze internal and external market data to drive down the organization’s overall cost of ownership.
    • Utilize market intelligence to quantify emerging market segments and increase the existing customer value proposition.
    • Provide training to Finance Managers.
    • Will require travel to support operational initiatives.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field from a four-year college or university with 8+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

    Available Shift:  Full Time
