  • Overview

    SBM Management is looking for a Software Development Project Manager to join their Corporate team!  This position is responsible for gathering important software data and compiling it into a comprehensive project scope definition document that our shareholders and Insite team leaders can use in the development of new product enhancements or additions.  Oversees multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves corporate processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages resources to effectively ensure successful execution of the project plan and deliver a quality project
    • Support the performance of defining project scope and requirements (i.e., business analysis)
    • Act as liaisons between users, product management, and developers to define software requirements and write detailed functional specifications
    • Work with internal staff to develop and plan projects and project work orders
    • Develop and maintain project documentation such as project plans, Gantt charts, punch lists, configuration guides, etc.
    • Oversee internal company project tracking system for each assigned project
    • Assures the quality of software is ready to roll out by conducting reviews with developers and other methodical software quality assurance processes
    • Coordinate set-up of testing environment and develop and execute test plans
    • Assist the users in acceptance testing, developing procedures, and updating documentation
    • Perform or coordinate the performance of internal processes relating to product configuration for applicable projects
    • Act as expert resource for Customer Service, Tech Support and other departments in all functional and content areas associated with a project

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
    • Serves as a coach and mentor for employees within division.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from a College or University or 5+ years related project experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Masters preferred.   
    • May required to have a valid driver’s license.
    • Industry specific certificates preferred.
    • Previous experience in managing projects within an Agile software development environment preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of object oriented development practices with an emphasis in the .NET technology stack.
    • Highly proficient in data analysis, data migration tools, data modelling.
    • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of software
    • Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional groups to accomplish goals
    • Ability to work within a team to meet established project goals
    • Ability to communicate professionally, concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
    • Experience in software development roll outs

    Available Shift:  Full Time

     

    Compensation:  Depends on experience
