  • Overview

    SBM Management is looking to hire a Logistics Shipping Supervisor to join their team!  This position is responsible for supervising shipping employees; collaborating with R&D to ensure that products and documentations are ready for shipments; samples are packed, shipped and received by customers on time and in compliance with company standards. Meets company delivery goals and finds ways to increase productivity. Verifies counts of items being shipped are accurate; performs monthly audits and maintains warehouse cleanliness and provides a safe work environment. Monitors shipping & Receiving transactions and documentation for accuracy, timeliness and ensures all paperwork for shipped & Receiving items are filed correctly in accordance with company standards. Assures received items are delivered according the company standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Works closely with departments in forecasting product shipments.
    • Collaborates with R&D team to receive samples in such a manner that products are ready for shipment to ensure all orders are shipped on time to meet customer needs.
    • Adheres to priorities and sequences for shipping products, ensures shipments are on schedule.
    • Determines work schedules, distributes work and explains procedures.
    • Escalates storage and shipping constraints to upper management in a timely manner.
    • Manages the movement of materials in and out of the facility
    • Coordinates and communicates with different departments, carriers and customers to ensure smooth shipment of products
    • Monitors the packing of samples and oversees the appropriate packaging and labeling is used
    • Determines which delivery services each order requires.
    • Oversees shipping operations and white glove employees.
    • Documents employee performance and gives regular constructive feedback to employees.
    • Maintains warehouse cleanliness.
    • Solves practical problems; ability to "root cause" of a problem and determine corrective action.
    • Ensures administrative documents are maintained in accordance with company policies.
    • Performs monthly audits
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Assure Shipping and Receiving area in maintained with 5S standards
    • Maintain computerized inventory (shipping materials and supplies) records, take physical count periodically, and check against inventory control totals using computer.

    Responsibilities 

    • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
    • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

    Available Shift:  1st shift, full time

     

    Compensation:  The salary for this position is $62,500 - $70,000 per year
