  • Overview

    SBM Management is looking to hire a Floor Care Supervisor to join their team!  This position coordinates activities within the Floor Care Program.  Inspects and Audits areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations. 

    Responsibilities

    • Develops work schedules for floor care work to ensure adequate service.
    • Prepares schedules for service personnel, assigns personnel to routes.
    • Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment for program compliance, i.e. safety, quality, and service.
    • Audits and maintains inventories supplies and equipment.
    • Investigates and promotes improved equipment and methods.
    • Reviews customer requests for service to ascertain cause for service request, type of malfunction, and address with manager.
    • Implements organization policies and goals.
    • Inspects plant and evaluates use of space and facilities.
    • Collects data for preparing estimates, labor hours, expenses, and other metrics.
    • Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, such as, FLSA, OSHA, ADA, etc.
    • Directs supervisory management engaged in support of facilities programs.
    • Reports employee personnel and customer issues to manager.
    • Corrects at risk behavior immediately, then reports to the manager immediately.
    • Acts as liaison between company, customers, clients, employees, and subcontractors.
    • Assist with human resource concerns and issues.
    • Some travel may be required for this position.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.

    Qualifications

    • A.A. Degree in Business Management with 1-2 years of experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must have reliable transportation and have valid driver's license
    • Completed all safety and task training certification.
    • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
    • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
    • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

    Available Shift:  Full Time
