  • Overview

    We are currently seeking an experienced, sophisticated and results-oriented in-house Real Estate Attorney to oversee our multi-faceted real estate development legal work.  The ideal candidate will possess great organizational skills and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment helping support multiple project in several states. This individual needs to build positive relationships with diplomacy and business acumen and provide insightful and timely counsel and advice to our business partners on a broad range of real estate related issues.  The Real Estate Attorney is a versatile individual working within a small and dedicated team within the real estate division of a global facilities management company.  Current projects in Northern California, Colorado and Hawaii.


    • Coordinates all real estate related legal issues, including purchase and sale, option and entity formation documentation; works with outside counsel in perfecting documents
    • Assesses the legal, business and regulatory environment for legal changes and new risks with regard to real estate development and construction
    • Contributes proactively in order to ensure real estate activities comply with all applicable law and regulations
    • Provides legal advice to an organization, prepares resolutions and forms
    • Participate in legal actions
    • Works with internal team in the negotiation and mediation of complex real estate transactions, title, deeds, conservation easements, zoning and land entitlement issues
    • Develops strong working relationships with key stake holders including  corporate tax management, outside specialized counsel and business partners


    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with 3-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Strong negotiating and deal-making skills combined with the ability to deal effectively with and manage outside legal counsel
    • Understanding of the legal ramifications of any given issue and the ability to articulate the risk to the management team.
    • Strong drafting and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle conflicts with diplomacy
    • Desire to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
