  • Overview

    SBM Management is searching for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their team!  This position directs and coordinates activities of AR Technicians and AR Specialists that are engaged in calculating, processing, posting, verifying, and maintaining data and payments to receivable records by performing the following duties.

    Responsibilities

    • Trains, schedules, assigns, and reviews work of staff members.
    • Responsible for extensive KPI management on a weekly and monthly basis. Must obtain accurate and timely data to ensure cash flow can be maximized and risk minimized.
    • Responsible for extensive Cash Forecasting, on a weekly basis the Manager must be able to reasonably ascertain the amount and timing of all major collections. The product of which is a major component of the Credit/Cash Report (Fridays).
    • Analyzes major accounts and prepares monthly reconciliation of subsidiary accounts to general ledger.
    • Develops and implements record keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing, processing payments, and other receivable activities.
    • Develops and pursues collection strategies.
    • Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies and suggests appropriate corrective procedures.
    • Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers and officials, reporting agencies, clients, customers, and the public.
    • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
    • Adjusts errors and complaints.
    • Ad Hoc reporting as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, or Education or equivalent; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior training experience should include a focus on decentralized operations.
    • Familiarity with basic business and accounting processes (e.g. PO, billing, etc.) is essential.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

    Available Shift:  Full Time
