  • Overview

    SBM Management is looking for a UI UX Designer! As the UI/UX Designer, you’ll redesign applications used by Fortune 500 companies with a broad user base.  Your challenge will be to build world-class products and redefine ways to do business for the industry. You will work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment in our headquarters’ beautiful campus in Sacramento, CA. 


    • Lead application design through creation of wireframes, flow diagrams and visual design models that conceptualize project vision
    • Construct user-centered designs with consideration of data, customer opinion and technical limitations/potential
    • Collaborate with team to establish feature requirements, determine user interface direction and guarantee product vision is upheld throughout the development process
    • Collaborate with designers to make certain the functional flow and visual depiction are complimentary and reflect product values
    • Update, maintain and develop user interface specifications for engineer teams
    • Develop a visual strategy and help with user acceptance testing
    • Facilitate product reviews and usability testing
    • Employ quantitative and qualitative usability research methods
    • Apply UI/UX Design best practices


    • 5+ years’ experience designing web applications in a creative/R&D environment
    • Specific experience with UX research, interaction and mobile design, prototyping tools and responsive web frameworks
    • A strong desire to create the best web applications and the ability to create them
    • The urge to execute the best solution and push it to the next level
    • Experience with user research and a strong empathy for the end users
    • Ability to provide evidence to back up each of your solutions
    • No fear of telling the truth; know when to push back and say no
    • Ability to work in disciplines of IA, strategy, and interaction design, as well as collaborate across disciplines with developers, QAs and managers
    • Ability to communicate your ideas, both visually and verbally
    • An inquisitive mind with great intellectual curiosity
    • A deep appreciation of craftsmanship and an exceptional eye for detail
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Design, Cognitive Science, or other related disciplines
    • An excellent portfolio to present all of above
    • Ability to read, write, copy and paste HTML, CSS and JavaScript
