SBM Management is currently looking to hire a National Sustainability Manager to join their team!  This position is responsible for overseeing the solid waste management program, through the development, implementation and monitoring of the current sustainability strategies and polices which promote sustainable development.


  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans which ensure corporate sustainable development
  • Identified leader on sustainable procurement for all goods and services
  • Coordinate all aspects of waste management, recycling and environmental management
  • Ensure compliance with solid waste and sustainability legislation
  • Audit, analyze and report sustainability performance to internal and external clients
  • Promote and increase awareness, at all levels of an organization, the impact of emerging sustainability issues
  • Manage the development and implementation of a Solid Waste management system
  • Train staff at all levels in sustainability issues and responsibilities
  • Plan and develop work schedules that ensure exceptional service
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees


  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Energy or Resource Management or related field providing the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • An emphasis in environmental studies preferred.
  • Three to five years work experience I project, facility management and program development.
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. 
  • The ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community regarding the sustainability program and present this information to management, public group and existing and prospective customers.
  • Have the ability to reason through advanced business solutions and exemplify responsible leadership capacity, while managing fluid organization change.
  • LEED certification and green building is preferred 

Available Shift:  Full Time


Compensation:  Depends on experience
