On Call Warehouse Forklift Operator - Own Transportation Required

SBM is currently looking to hire a Warehouse Forklift Operator to join their team! Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.


  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
  • Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned.


  • Certified Forklift Operator
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. 
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. 
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Available Shift:  2nd and 3rd shift 


Compensation:  The pay rate for this position is $11.00 per hour
