SBM Management is searching for a Payroll Supervisor! The Payroll Supervisor manages and coordinates activities of workers engaged in recording hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, and calculating payrolls by performing the following duties.


  • Maintains programs and processes which assures the compliant and timely issuance of wages to employees
  • Maintains the integrity of the timekeeping system security administration and control
  • Primary payroll systems expert and resource for the department
  • Directs compilation and preparation of other payroll data such as and union dues payments
  • Reviews and runs the interface for benefit deductions to the payroll system for accurate deduction.
  • Attends company-wide or division meeting representing the payroll department
  • Primary control of Interface (HR to Payroll), Prepares interface for data entry by processors and updates the payroll system.
  • Cover for processors when absent
  • Manages and directs work of processors
  • Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures
  • Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow
  • Primary check printing responsibility during payroll and between pay cycles
  • Communicates directly to field issues related to payroll
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Approves adjustments
  • Directly supervises the payroll processors in the payroll department.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  •  A working knowledge of Solomon is desirable.
  •  Working knowledge of FLSA and multi state employment practices

Available Shift:  Full Time


Compensation:  Depends on experience
